Summary
Naman Gupta is an emerging Indian-Canadian photographer and filmmaker based in Montréal. He works with analog and moving-image processes to observe intimacy, place, memory, and the texture of ordinary life. Narrative and documentary film, black-and-white 35mm photography shot, developed and printed by hand, and, most recently, photogravure. His background as a quantum physicist informs a quiet attention to observation, structure, and material process.

A ten-part series on housing and community life, made with residents and organizers at Brique par brique. Commissioned by the Canadian Race Relations Foundation. The production involved 90 hours of cinematography, editing, sound design, and colour correction.
